Sunday Snippet

Sunday Snippet for Pursuing Honor:

Honor brought her other hand up and locked her hold around the handle.  The sights on this gun were close to perfect.  Before attending medical school, she had honed her skill by shooting the centers out of daisy blossoms.  She looked over the metal nub at the end of the barrel, and envisioned white petals encircling (intentionally deleted)'s head.  She slid her finger to the trigger.  The steel band greeted her as warmly as an old friend.

Sunday Snippet for Pursuing Honor:

Sunday Snippet

Sunday Snippet for Pursuing Honor:

Hunter held to her hand, his fingers loosely entwined with hers.  Bad weather didn't seem to concern him.  He lifted her hand to his lips.  His kiss was warm and soothing against her fingers.  Having him with her was more comforting than any balm she could concoct.  Forget home remedies.  If she ever became stricken with an illness, all she needed to recover was to have him next to her.  It was too bad he wouldn't be around.

Sunday Snippet for Pursuing Honor:

She moved closer to Hunter's side, and ran the tips of her fingers over the backs of his hand.  Her pads rose and fell over each delicate bone.  He was with her, and that was all that mattered for now.  They would have to face their reality soon enough.  She raised her eyes slowly up his arm to his face.  He had good bones.  His jaw was strong and square.  Dark brown stubble sprouted his tanned skin.  She closed her eyes.  She could almost feel the short bristles scratch her cheek as his mouth found hers.  His upper arm brushed against the side of her breast, and she caught her breath.  Maybe words were overrated.

Sunday Snippet for Pursuing Honor:

Hunter disappeared inside the small room, and Honor sighed.  Would they never have any time to themselves?  She had to admit, irritating Hope did have its charm, and watching Hunter made it a double delight.
